This app honestly changed my life. I’ve been using it for years to study all the way to N1. It is ridiculously easy to use and customizable to fit your study goals.
I can’t stop recommending it to people around me when they ask how I became so fluent.

The only complaint I have is that I am currently trying to learn Spanish and cannot find anything half as good. I know this is a long shot but are there any plans to branch out to other languages or to make it open source ?

I've been using this app for almost 4 years, but have only just gotten around to writing this review. I study using StickyStudy every morning on the train and every evening before bed. Ive slowly progressed from N5 to N2 using kanji textbooks in combination with regular decks, custom decks, Dropbox, notepad and this app. The updates that the creator constantly brings are always incredibly useful. I have recommended this app to several friends and will co continue to do so!

What I value most of this application is Justin, the developer! I have followed the development of StickyKanji since its early stages. He readily responded to my feedback, not only by promptly replying to my emails, but by actually implementing my proposals! I have witnessed an enormous improvement of this learning tool and today I can strongly recommend it to anyone who is serious about learning Kanji! Well done, Justin! Excellent work!

I spent a lot on other kanji apps to study before stumbling onto this and it is BY FAR the best app out there. Obviously a labour of love, it is very well designed and comes with a load of features to help you study and track your progress. I never write app reviews but this app has impressed me a lot.. Bravo to the developer, with the help of this app N1 looks like cake.

Fantastic app, I completed the first 661 kanji in an hour and 20 min. Really fast and effective app.

One request however.
I am on N4 kanji now but some of the kanji don't provide example sentences. There are some words that I have never heard before and would like to know how to use them

Please consider this in the next update.

I have been living in Japan for a while and I have struggled trying to make time to study, or having to carry around books with me to practice on the train. This app has been a great investment! I can study at ease from wherever I am, and it also allows me to practice more. The dictionary is also really useful. I highly recommend it!

Lots of decks included. Oodles of vocabulary as well as kanji.
Only complaint would be to have the kanji appear in order of usefulness either for newspapers or JLPT(出る順). As it is, there are a lot of trees and such which appear early on in the deck, but only rarely on the JLPT or in real life reading.

This is a great app to learn Kanji and Japanese vocabulary. It also breaks down the Kanji into their basic elements and cross-references vocabulary that uses the same Kanji - very useful.
Improvement potential: the farfetched example phrases and their ominous English translations...

I love it!
The study method is great.
The preset vocabulary/kanji groups for the JLPT allow you to study and review for the test, not wasting time on non test words.
Example sentences are a GREAT help to reenforce word usage.
Lastly the option to set goals is an innovative plus!!

I tried multiple apps to study, I really get bored and tired of them because of confusing transition and very eye straining designs. This one is simple and just getting to the point.

Except there are some information wrong like same Kanji with different on, kun.

Best app for getting all of the kanji into your head, period. Also excellent for doing the same with vocabulary. Once you have done this then move on to reading (again with this app's news feature) to effortlessly reinforce content and structure.

I originally bought this app for the study features and kanji practice which I think are good even though I do not use them so much. But I use the dictionary and translate features daily. Thank you for the great app.

Have been using this App for some years now and it’s by far my favorite kanji practice App. I occasionally come across a new method and play with that for a while; but I always find myself coming back to StickyStudy.

I often add my own words. If my device has to be restored, it means reinstall this app also. I will lost added words. It could be great if has import/export features.
I also use this app for English. It's also good.

I used this last year when I was studying for N2. Combined with Anki it really helped me study and memorize the vocab. Definite purchase for anyone studying Japanese. Cheaper and more effective than a textbook.

I’ve been using this as a supplement to RTK, simply adding kanji from the dictionary to my own sticky. Great for practicing how to write kanji (over 800 in 3 months...30-45 mins a day)

Don't have any single complain, and with regular update things are perfect.

passed my JLPT N1 and N2 thanks to this app.
Also using this app as my primary dictionary on the go.

Very easy to use and customise. Would like to have character recognition input for kanji, but otherwise highly recommended.
