前作より難しい。特に戦闘の占めるウェイトが高いので、ストーリーを進めるだけではなく、装備も確保しておく必要がある。

ストーリーはネタバレになるので伏せるが、オーソドックスだか引きこまれる展開である。なお、シリーズ各話に関連はないが、背景世界は共通しており、本作はオルランドの北西にあるミュールという港町が舞台になる。
