Much like the other comments, I like the updates that Nook has put into place. I've had Nook for 5 yrs & was using an older version of Nook then got an iPad and love it. I've not had any problems with the app aside from not enough space in the Library, so the work around is to Archive books. I especially like the different background colors...I'm still reading when my husband goes to sleep, so I change it to black which saves the eyes. Thank you Barnes & Noble (Nook) for the updates. It's improved immensely!

I have used the Kindle app for years to read digital books and, in fact, love it so much that I have steadily used it to replace books at home, getting rid of physical books and replacing them with digital books.

But the thing is that Kindle doesn't allow profiles. It doesn't allow me to set certain books aside for my kids but other books aside for me. Nook does. Nook let's me set up a password locked profile with books just for me, selections that I do not want my kids to have access to for whatever reason.

One of several forever-keep apps on my iPad. I always read books on this app after getting them through Barnes & Noble. I started doing it soon after getting my iPad two to three years ago for my birthday & have had it ever since. I have an ever expanding library of books, so many books nowadays in fact that I have had to add much to archive. I read mostly mysteries, but also read adventure, fantasy, and science fiction, & in the past, autobiographies. This is one app that I will never get rid of.

I love Nook because I can have a lot of books in the size of a pocket (for my phone) and change the fonts, margins, text size, theme, and I can also set lock rotation which is very convenient. I plan on buying a Nook Glowlight Plus because of how good this brand from Barnes & Noble is. I also love how I can read in complete darkness since this is an eReading app. No more having to have lights on. I don't have to hold paper books (which is annoying) anymore. Nook is better than Kindle & Kobo combined!

The nook app is great! Lots of features that help me read my book the way I want. Adjust the font, color, jump to a chapter, and even look up a word in the dictionary. I do wish they were more careful on how they sort my books on my shelves. I would love to just be able to move them to my own stack. Like when one book in a series must not be coded the same way as the others and it doesn't get put in the same pile as the others in the series, that is annoying but over its still a great reading app!

I have had a Nook for several years (now on my second version), and am very satisfied with it as well as the apps for both my i-phone and i-pad. As a rule, I prefer to use the Nook, but sometimes it just isn't convenient to haul larger devices around when I'm on the go. Also, it's great to be able to download the book I want right away and not have to worry about crowding my already overloaded bookshelves. Furthermore, it's quite easy to find the book I want and go right to where I left off.

Love my nook. This app has issues! It has frozen, I cannot turn a page. How do you uninstall? I am not tech savvy and very frustrated. Well you showed me how to fix this app and it is perfect. Found how to uninstall, made sure was fully charged, turned off overnight and when opened it up was fixed. Thanks for the help. I love my new iPad and along with my nook tablet I go everywhere with my nook books. Much easier to take tablet than 2,000 books. Thanks again. One very happy customer.

I read books in both the Nook app and the Kindle app and find the Nook much better. The look and feel are more controllable. The handling of previously read books is much better, in that the books can be archived out of regular consideration but remain available. For example, as I read a book series I often reread earlier books before the next new one; Nook allows me to park the read ones but return to them later. The recent new version has added a lot to the positive experience.

I own a Nook and a Kindle, to me there is no comparison, my Nook wins hands down. The support is face to face with an actual person inside Barnes and Noble if I ever have questions, my Kindle was broken almost right out of the box and a year later its still sitting broken on my bookshelf. The battery lasts a suprisingly long time, even with the display lighted. I work nights as a homecare nurse, no lights allowed because my client is sleeping and no t.v., I'd be lost without it.

It took a while to really get into the Nook because I love holding an actual book in my hand ... especially hardback books but paperback also. But I forced myself to start reading EBooks because my house was getting overrun by books. I am now a believer. It's almost the best thing since sliced bread . I can read authors I enjoy and not have to later figure out how to give the book away if I don't want to keep it for my library. The Nook is the BESTEST!!!!!!

I love getting my favorite books and writers on my Nook. I have the books I order from Barnes and Noble sent to my Nook and my IPad. This gives me options of the size of electronic device it will be carrying. The books I want to download are easy to find, and download quickly. This is a great way to be able to read books, and I really enjoy it.
If you love books, consider this as an addition to what you may already have, or buy on to have as another way to read.

I've enjoyed my nook for the ease of use and for having all my favorite books readily at hand. I thought I'd miss the feeling of holding a book in my hands but surprisingly it has not been much of a problem. Because of my love of reading I was constantly in the book store but my nook is a handy book store in the palm of my hands. I don't have to hurry because someone is eyeing the section I'm currently in front of. Thanks nook for making my life a little easier.

Wow! Super easy download and set up on my iPhone, will do my iPad tomorrow. Within about two minutes I was looking at my entire library! About 5 seconds later I was reading my current book. Very impressed with this app. Will update later if theres any issues. My nook is a first or second generation, no back light. If it wasn't for that (a back light on my phone) id say this is better than my nook! Can't wait to see it on my iPad! So far I highly recommend it.

Great reading app. Started with nook when it first came out and tried the kindle later. I like the interaction capability (notes, shelving, etc.) with the nook the best. I'm using it with my iPad mini and my samsung note phone and still use my nook HD. There are problems using it with my iPad. I have no such problems with my Microsoft nor Samsung products. Evidently I can't purchase from B&N when on an Apple product. But that is more of an apple issue.

I use the Nook app on my iPad. It allows me to use the tablet, in which I have a significant investment and familiarity, to read my collection of over a hundred books. It is easy to find new books or re-read favorites. I wish that I could buy books directly from the app but it is no hardship buying online from the Barnes and Noble site. The app also allows me to download and use manuals and documents. from my laptop computer. I use the app almost daily.

The nook app is fantastic. I've had this app on my IPad for many years and have accumulated many books. No other reader app compares. I'm happy shelves have been added, the only disappointment is when books are put on the shelves they also remain in the library. This makes it very difficult to know if a book has already been placed on a shelf. Is there any way to remedy this? Other than that, the Nook app is is overall my favorite reading app.

We've been with Nook since the beginning, when the Simple Nook. Nook has now evolved to the most user-friendly reading app that I have ever used, and I have flirted with 4 others (with iBooks being a backup) when offered. But I always return to my true love, Nook! I have always been a bibliophile, and thanks to B&N, I am now able to read more - and more pleasurably - than ever. Nook just keeps getting better and better.

The nook I am currently using is my third Nook. I have well over 250 books, magazines, PDF files and apps on it. I no longer receive paper magazines. I go no where without my Nook as all my tea reference materials are now at easy access without all the weight of paper documents. Great e-reader. But I would like to have the option of copying a quote from the book I am reading to my clipboard for future reference.

I love this app, I just purchase books and had no problems with any. The clarity is awesome. The only downfall is that nook books are generally more expensive than others, so I rarely buy from nook.

Which, is sad because, nook has one of my favorite features...I love the way I can change my highlighting and background to suit my mood. So many choices I can play forever....but, I'd rather read.

I read with all of the above, especially since I purchased my iPad just this year. And love all of them. I haven't had any problems as stated below (as of yet) I do however read all the hints/tricks that Nook forwards in the emails and they are quiet helpful and very useful. The ONLY issue I do have and agree with prior, using the "shelf" is frustrating and could be more user friendly.
