Before the app crashed, it worked great and I received about $7.00 from just one receipt. When the app was down, my balance showed $0 and that I hadn't submitted any receipts, but I was sure the app would get fixed, as it was, and I now have $14 after submitting a second receipt. I spend $150 average per week at Walmart (large family), so I assume many people might get a smaller refund, but the app does work! It finds lower prices and tells you which stores had the lower prices. It is very convenient considering the Super Walmarts and Neighborhood Walmarts are my go-to grocery stores. I have not used it for anything other than scanning my receipts for savings. Yes, it does take up to 3 days to receive results, but is overall a great app!

I have found this app to be very useful & I am happy with the way it performs. Originally, I downloaded this app for the grocery/shopping list function. Not only can I keep a running list, I can also check the current prices of items before I leave my house. This is really helpful when I am on a strict budget.

If you are in the shop function, with your store chosen, you can enter an item in the search box & it will tell you the aisle/location of said item. It will also tell you if your store has item in stock or not but I have found this to not always be accurate.

Finally, the pharmacy function has been a lifesaver. It is so easy to refill scripts, check on an order or review your pharmacy history. I love it!

I don't shop at Walmart because of this app. I shop there because the Walmart Neighborhood Market (groceries, mostly) is near my home. Simple, scan receipt, it does the work for you, gives you money back sometimes. I've gotten over $50 back, and it was simple. I don't even bother looking at ads, I toss them. I don't buy things I don't need/won't use, so why look? If it's on ad elsewhere and I happen to buy it at the Walmart, I will get credit for the difference. I have experienced no glitches with the app and have zero complaints. People who complain about this app are pathetic. It's a free service that if used might earn you some store credit. What the hell is there to complain about?

All I care about is the savings catcher. Let me tell you, I am pretty excited about it. It doesn't give you too much, but it will add up over time. Just scan your receipts as you go grocery shopping and in a few days the app will put some money that you could have saved from going to other stores for a few of the miscellaneous products you bought on your account like a gift card. Later, when you want to, you can scan your savings and use them in store! Basically, Walmart makes sure you are getting the cheapest deal! Sure, I know it can't be completely thorough, but it's quite the innovative idea if you ask me! It makes me drive the extra few minutes to do my shopping at Walmart!

Even if you don't shop at Walmart much, this is awesome! It's free money! If you're hesitant because some reviews say they only saved 2-3$, ignore them! If they didn't save much it's because they already got the best prices in the store when they originally shopped! What's wrong with that! And the little money they did get is FREE money! So why not get this app! It's no work for you and there's free credit on the line! Just try it out for your self! And a tip, you get more money back if you don't buy Walmart brand items, BECAUSE THEY COST MORE! Like I said the less amount of money you get back just shows that Walmart gave you the best price to begin with!

First to Molly that complained, store brands don't match prices. Look at the things that do and don't match easily on the app itself. I love this new feature. Now I don't have to worry about going to 2-3 different stores or remember to ask for the price match. I would always forget to ask about it at the registers. Every week I shop and then watch for "how much do I get back this time?" It's like waiting to open a present. So exciting!

I use this app on a regular basis to save money by comparing prices and products, discovering savings and discounts, and of course using the savings catcher module. After scanning just two receipts, I received almost $5 back in savings caught. The barcode scanner is also very helpful for finding out pricing and product information for misshelved items in the store. This also gives you product reviews which can be a huge help in selecting the right item to purchase. The instore feature is also useful for locating items you've seen advertised which often times are in random parts of the store that you wouldn't have thought to look otherwise.

I've been using this app since it was first released, and I've been very happy with the results. SavingsCatcher always seems to work, even if I have to enter receipts manually from time to time. Two things I think would make this app even better-1. Quit making me change the "MyStore" setting just to use the price checker, and 2. Add the ability to "clip" coupons directly to the app for a single scan at checkout. Kroger and other groceries do this, so I know WalMart can!
After reading some the complaints, thought I'd point out that SavingsCatcher only works on grocery items, and WalMart no longer compares stores like Walgreens and CVS.

I love using this app more than walking into a Wal-Mart store. I use this app to purchase items online, and have them shipped to my home to avoid all that might be unpleasant about stepping into a Wal-Mart store. But, if walking into a Wal-Mart is unavoidable, then I take advantage of a really nice feature offered on this app called Savings Catcher. The app does a terrific job of scanning the barcodes of your Wal-Mart receipts to look for area stores who may have offered a cheaper price on the same item(s). This app is the best way to enhance your Wal-Mart buying experience! If you have to shop at Wal-Mart, then this app is a must!!

First off, I come into the store my phone shows me the app on the bottom left of my phone. Then it knows what department I'm in and tells me what's on sale, Never let's me buy anything that I've already have at home, tells me how much money I have earned so far. And shortly after check out I can scan my receipt to see how the saving catcher does and right there it will tell me how much I've saved on this visit, or prior to start shopping it will remind me of what we need at home Milk, eggs. Important stuff you know. Low on beer maybe. I love it one of the best things ever. I recommend it highly to all my friends., highly!

I love the "Savings Catcher" app! I just shop at Walmart as normal and scan the receipt into the "Savings Catcher" app, which only takes a few seconds.
Then POOF… I get an email in a couple of days letting me know if I get any money back on things that are cheaper at their competitors. It covers just about everything, paper products, juices, frozen dinners, cat food… you name it! On my last trip, I got $9.62 back, and I didn't have to waste valuable time and gas running from store to store!
If you shop at Walmart and are NOT using this app, you're throwing money away! Give it a try, you'll love it!

1) With so many poorly developed store apps, I'm glad walmart pulled off a decent user interface.

2) It does what it says. Even if it doesn't catch every penny (as some complain about) at least you are getting something back. How many years of purchases have you had before this app and never got anything back? Exactly. Something is better than nothing.

3) My opinion on this entire thing is they wish they'd have used a customer card years ago. My Kroger card tracks my purchases in exchange for discounts. Walmart is gathering this data this way instead. Same end resulting data for them to data mine.

Why would anyone not match the prices at checkout, I used the app the prices they used was from family dollar and radio shack hmm what happens to the small town local stores hmm the app says major competition so if the local store is not used why would I let them overcharge me and hope I get a refund, the feedback is gone through and the best rated is posted by a third party company, don't let them scam you with there false promises they have cheated all the employes and the American public with lies for years, keep your money in your pocket were you can spend it were you want not at there stores.

My sister told me about this app in a discussion about rebate apps and quick money schemes; but this is probably the simplest and most straightforward app I've seen. I scan my receipt and don't have to worry about bargain hunting because the app does it for me. If there's a lower price, it automatically credits me the amount and I have that money to use in the form of a gift card. Also, for someone like myself who loses receipts all the time, it stores my receipt so that I can return purchases as well. I can't find a reason not to like this app. I wish other stores had this!

The app is good. Easy to shop. Makes site to store a breeze. Savings catcher when it opens is awesome.
Only one complaint: why ,oh why, do all of my e-receipts need to load before I can do anything on the savings catcher page? All of my receipts shouldn't need to load! I don't need all my e-receipts at once even on the e-receipts page. 10 at a time, on demand would be more than adequate. (like all the shopping pages) Waiting for the couple hundred receipts to load takes forever. If there is a weak cell signal the page crashes and won't open. Please fix this!

This is a great app. It's easy to scan the receipt into the phone and then Walmart accumulates the savings and you can get the difference at your leisure. So you can wait until you have five or 10 or $15 or something less. When you scan your receipt in Walmart compare is their price with 20 stores in the area for the same item and if anybody has a cheaper price they will give you the difference. That's a good deal! Also it's handy when I'm in the store I can scan an item to find out it's price if there's some confusion in my mind. Try it you'll like it!

I have to say this app is pretty amazing. The features included like the grocery list option and the sales ad are great for keeping everything together and neat in one place. And even though I haven't physically gone out to double check the saving on the prices Walmart compares to others, getting a little bit of money back on each receipt is fantastic. This way you don't have drag out papers and coupons from competitors, and it also saves you and others in line with you a lot of time. Plus this app is easy to navigate and I've had no problems with it.

I already got $4.58 back on one receipt I scanned! Other stores (Food Lion & CVS) had my products for cheaper and Walmart's app did the price comparisons automatically for me and put the difference onto a e-gift card! I'm very impressed with this app!

It still has some kinks though. Most receipts I've entered were "ineligible" and it takes forever to do the price comparison, but I'll just check back in a few days to see if the latest receipt is complete. I'm sure they'll get the kinks worked out. It's still very new.

It's awesome when a big company actually does something to benefit it's customers, and this app is a perfect example of this. I mean I'm sure that they aren't just doing this out of the kindness of their hearts (if only it were true). In fact I'm positive that it is used as a means to data-mine and track spending patterns of average regional consumers so they can make better decisions on what to supply to us and such. However, it's still great that they are finding a way to compromise benefit to themselves and benefit to the consumer.

I don't know what all these bad reviews are for, I love the app and use the Savings Catcher for every transaction and hope for an awesome discount. It's a free program so I never mind if a receipt for one object doesn't come up with a savings, I'm just grateful whenever I do have a savings! All these reviews sound like whining toddlers, because this program could not even exist in the first place and you'd never see any money back. They all act like they have a right to this app and that it's not a privilege. Love this app & Walmart!
