Jerry McClain is the Senior Pastor of Kingdom Christian Center located in the city of Birmingham, Alabama.
Jerry is a graduate of Chapman University of Orange County, California.and Troy State University of Troy, Alabama. He served 25 years of military service with the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger and retired as a Command Sergeant Major. In 2001 he traded in his M-16 for John 3:16 and was licensed and ordained as an Associate Pastor at Christian Faith Center in Seattle, Washington.
Under the leadership of Pastors Casey and Wendy Treat he served a 10,000 member, multicultural congregation at two campuses. As Associate Pastor for two locations he was responsible for baptisms, pre-service prayer, ushers, greeters, information centers, security, valet, espresso, parking, shuttles, international fellowships, long life ministry, men’s ministry and a host of Pastoral duties which included premarital counseling, marriage ceremonies, memorials, funerals and jail ministries.
A native of Greenville Alabama, he met his wife Charla McClain of Oklahoma while stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington. They have 5 adult children (Lashondra, Bryant, Carmeisha, LaKeisha, and Nakita).
Jerry and Charla spend much of their time serving, teaching, and spoiling their eight grandchildren (Aiyanah, Olivia, DeAndrae, Destinee, Jada, Aliya, Justice and Bryant Jr). His hobbies include study of the word, riding Harleys, and playing golf.
Jerry and Charla wrote and published a marriage journal “How Can Two Walk Together Unless They Agree?” Available online wherever books are sold.
Charla McClain, along side her husband, Pastor Jerry is co-pastor of Kingdom Christian Center. She is overseeing the Women’s Ministry and the Customer Service departments, as well as providing leadership on a number of initiatives to improve contact and effectiveness within our communities.
In addition, Charla maintains her business, Majestic Image Consulting & Coaching, which instructs women on the importance of spiritual, physical and mental beauty.
She is also the co-author of “How Can Two Walk Together Unless They Agree” and has another relational book pending launch later this year.
Charla was a board member of the Tacoma Rescue Mission and Hope House Ministries and volunteered with Washington Women’s Education & Employment, Kent Regional Justice Center and the Mount Tahoma Mentorship Program. She is currently volunteering in the women shelters, library & senior centers in Birmingham, AL.
Prior to her position of Pastor at Kingdom Christian Center, she worked as Contract Administrator, Project Accountant, Software Accountant and Payroll Accountant.
Proudly, Charla is the mother of five, LaShondra, Bryant, Carmeisha, LaKeisha & Nakita and the grandmother of eight, Aiyanah, Olivia, DeAndrae, Destinee, Jada, Aliya, Justus and Bryant Jr.
She attended Southeastern State University and East Central University.
