I just finished this game for my 3rd time and i have to say that it is still a fantastic game. The story of this game is very enjoyable and i personally get hooked every time i play this. The price tag on this game is seriously worth your time. My first play-through took about 9 hours to complete, the other 2 times being around 7 or so hours. The best partnabout this game is that you can play the game completely different every time. The stat distribution after each level-up brings some interesting playstyles to the table. Although i see people complaining about the use of consumables, how you need a lot, i dont really think that is the case. Just stock up on 2 stacks of keys and mattocks every time you start a dungeon, and if you run out, monsters have a chance to drop the items you need. When you get the morning star, you dont even need mattocks anymore sonce it can destroy rocks as well. I really wish that i could give a huge in-depth analysis on the game but you probably dont want to read all of that. My last bit of advice is that: THIS GAME IS WORTH THE MONEY. And stock up before you go into a dungeon :P Have fun with this fantastic game.

I first saw this game on the newest apps section on the home page. I saw the title and thought that it was some crappy fan game. I saw the Square-Enix brand on it and I was interested. I quickly learned that it was a remake of Final Fantasy Adventure for the game boy, the first game in the mana series. I wanted to try the series for a while, so I decided to get it, and I was not disappointed.

No doubt about it, this is one of the best action RPG I've ever played. The graphics and over all presentation are amazing for iOS,not to mention the awesome soundtrack. The story isn't the greatest, but it makes up for it in the gameplay. You go on an adventure fighting monsters going through dungeons and finding treasure. It's simple, but fun. When you beat enough monsters, you get a level up and your stats grow like any RPG,but when you level up, you can chose what stat to give a bigger increase. This allows you many ways to customize your character. My favorite thing about the game are its intense boss battles. They are so satisfying to bring them down.

Overall, this game is awesome, and I encourage anyone to play it.

Ive played the beginning of the game, about 30 minutes to 1 hour, but im already massively satisfied!

I love that the graphics are simple and yet good looking. It's not like Sword of Mana, but still awesome if you liked the original GameBoy game!
It runs at a perfectly smooth 60 fps, at least on my iPhone 6 Plus.
The music is just a perfect remake of the originals. I couldnt have asked for better, and i'm very picky about music!
Oh and the sound effects, some GameBoy sounds mixed with realistic sounds, which makes it feel new but with the fun spirit of the original.

Even the touch controls are great to me.

The english translation is top notch. Simple, short, yet fancy and beautiful.

My only complaint is the movement. Even though its ok, it could be a lot better if we had a static d-pad instead of having to drag. I dont know why this became a thing. I remember FF1 on iPhone had a static d-pad, and it worked wonderfully.

I loved the original Final Fantasy Adventure when I was a kid, it was my favorite game ever on the original Game Boy. This is the remake that not only does the original game justice, (unlike the awful Sword of Mana GBA "remake")but actually surpasses the source material in every aspect! Now you can even set the background music to the original gameboy chip tune version! Awesome!!!

If you were even remotely a fan of the original, get this. Worth every penny. The only way it could be better is if Square Enix released it in the Nintendo 3DS...

This game is fantastic on my iPad Air 2. The game plays fantasticly, the controls just work as they should. This is a direct remake of Final Fantasy Adventure for Game Boy, obviously with a 25 year update. I do think it is cute that they kept some of the 8-bit sounds (stairs) This is exactly like Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. People might bawk at the price, but I feel it was worth very penny. iCloud save is nice, plays nicely on my iPhone 6s and my iPod Touch 6th Gen.

This is a great tribute to Final Fantasy Adventure on Gameboy, except now with stunning full color graphics and beautifully remixed music! I really hope this same treatment is given to the third game in this series (Seiken Densetsu 3 from the Super Nintendo - which was never released in English). That game is incredible and deserves to be played by a wider audience.

The only issue I had with this game is that the iCloud save transfer feature does not work at all. Please fix this in a future update.

I played Final Fantasy Adventure (in German) in 1991 on my original GameBoy and it quickly became my favorite game. It was Squaresoft’s answer to Nintendo’s Zelda. With this update from Square Enix, new gamers can really fall in love with this very clever game. The graphics are beautiful; the gameplay is faithful to the original. I am enjoying it all over again. Now Nintendo: give us the Gamebot Zelda games for our iPhones!!

This is a beautiful remake of the old Gameboy game Final Fantasy Adventure (in the U.S.). It doesn't hold your hand like today's RPGs and it doesn't offer a way to pay for any info or upgrades. This is what video games should be: Pure and simple fun, with tight controls, fun gameplay, convenient saving anywhere, and a true sense of adventure. I'm 36 now, but this game makes me feel like a 10 year-old all over again. Five stars.

I loved Final Fantasy Adventure, hated Sword of Mana. This is what SoM should have been. True to the original where it matters. And even if you never played FFA, if you loved the original Legend of Zelda, or if you want to try a great RPG where you actually have to use some skill instead of choosing it all from a menu, give this one a shot. I normally don't spend this much on a game, but I am not disappointed one bit.

FFA was, in my opinion the greatest Gameboy game of all time. It was the game that introduced me to adventure games and eventually RPGs. Seeing a 3D remake that looks to keep it's simplicity is both exciting and refreshing!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you SE for giving us older nostalgia nuts such quality content! I bought this within seconds of seeing it on the app store, and I DO NOT regret the impulse.

I love this game and I love how faithful it is to the original Final Fantasy Adventure. It's basically just like the old school game boy game but with better graphics and sound.

Now in the original I got stuck in a dungeon and could not go back or forwards because I didn't have enough keys. After playing this version I see that this can still happen so BUY EXTRA KEYS!

I just finished the game and it took me about 9 hours, which is decent for a mobile game. Any longer and I might have lost interest before finishing, which happens with a lot of games.

I've loved this game for a long time, and I was happy to see the remake come to the states. The only thing keeping me from committing was there was no mention of MFI controller support, but I took the plunge anyway since I loved the game so much.
I am happy to confirm that, yes, it does have full controller support.

Secret of mana, final fantasy and Zelda all come to mind with this gem. This is a complete remake of an older game and its done very well. Price is pointless so don't let that stop you this is a real game done right!

Side note: game is not going to sell well due to mobile gamers being afraid to pay anything more than "free". Thankfully I'm not one of them :)

It is, absolutely fantastic, if you loved the original or even the Sword of Mana GBA remake, check this out, its definitely worth the money and one of the best rpgs ever made, this version is even better especially on translation and localization, finally we get the full story, no shortcuts!

This is how a mobile game should be made! The game runs so smooth and the animations are the best I have ever seen on a mobile phone! The charcters seem to move at 60 frames per second and my iphone 6 plus doest not even get hot! I love it! 5 Stars all the way

This game definitely worths the price. It has a stunning graphic with a good storyline. There is no bug or glitch in this game. If you are looking for an action RPG for your mobile device, i highly recommend this game. You won't regret.

Adventures of Mana is a beautiful and engaging game--I can't put it down. The graphics are amazing, the storyline is entrancing, the music is beautiful, and the gameplay is addicting. Thank you for making such a wonderful app!

I think I got Final Fantasy Adventure in 1992. I would stay up under my blanket playing it with a flashlight. This remake really touches the child in me and I am truly thankful for it. It is the same game through and through.
