I just downloaded this app today and so far, so good. One of my co-workers told me about this app. I also downloaded Flyp, but you can't send or receive pictures or emoticons. Thus, Sideline to the rescue. Before I started really using it, I texted and called one of my co-workers and used them as Guinea pigs by texting, sending pictures, having them call me and leaving me a voicemail. It all went off without a hitch.

Glitches but great

It's a great idea. I first started using this for anyone I wasn't comfortable giving my permanent number to - say when I was selling something on Craigslist for example. I imagined I would delete the number after a month, but it's grown on me. Now I can separate out true 'personal' calls from work on the same phone.

Excellent App that integrates your existing Contacts, has an entirely separate Notification system, separate Voicemail that shows up in the texting/messaging area and works seamlessly with your existing smartphone. I do appreciate anything that manages to accomplish all of this for the low cost of FREE. I'm a person who values privacy and anonymity. I wasn't sure if I would like this app. The way my business is structured, I have a 24 hour answering service that catches my calls when I'm away. They shoot a text to my personal cell and then I place a phone call (always using *67 to avoid giving my personal cell.)
