This game is one of the few games that you can work your way through the game completely without spending a dime. There is a lot of content for each stage of the game you are in, with more being added with each update.
The game takes a lot of dedication to play however; I've been playing for about 9 months now and I am in the middle tier of the endgame content. There are people the Reddit page that have been playing the game for 2+ years.

It uses an energy system that is reasonable, giving 1 energy/min at first but one you get some upgrades later in the game (around mid-game) it goes to 2/min. (Doesn't sound like much, but it's enough to keep you busy). You can refill the energy reserve with a small amount of catfood (premium currency) or wait it out.

Speaking of catfood, they give you lots of it for free through events and you can get it for completing a challenge or clearing a sub chapter. If you want, you can buy catfood (hideously overpriced though).

The game is easy at first but gets rather hard later on, so there is always a new challenge to get past.

Overall, I think this game has been worth 9 months of casual playing. Great for younger kids to play (just be sure to disable in-app purchases like you would with any other game), and overall just an enjoyable, challenging casual game.

I love this game; it's cute, fun, addicting, and exciting. My suggestions:

1. ONLINE GAMES: You could play online with friends or random strangers and it could get up to 4 people if needed. Here's what I mean: They can use their cats and the party host's cats to use on levels. When you go to the menu, either if you pick story, future, or events, there will be a "Host Party" or "Find Game" selected beside the level's name. You may choose friends or strangers. I thought this would be a cool suggestion.

2. EASY CAT FOOD:
There should be an easier way to get cat food. The only ways to get cat food are to buy with real money, special events, completing some stages, and Gamatoto. (And he only gets around 10 cat food, so it will take about 15 times, which is about 2 weeks or so to get one Rare Capsule.)

3. LEST COSTLY ❌️ UPGRADES:
It would be cool if there was an event (Or always) for 25%, or even 50% off Cat upgrades, especially Uber-Rares, for 1 week. That way, it will give the player 7 whole days to gather XP for their upgrades. (I don't know if there's actually an event like that. I got this in February.)

This game will keep you entertained for a good while until you run out of energy, and early in the game that isn't a problem.

The premise of this game is simple, you start out with nothing, but as time goes by you get increasingly more amounts of money to send "troops" to defend your base and to attack the opponents. Each character has different strengths and costs which keeps things interesting. After completing a level, you get experience points to upgrade your characters and base.

The best part: the troops that fight for you are cats! They are adorable and is a great touch to the game. If you were using humans, the game wouldn't be nearly as good.

The soundtracks are great and complements the gameplay nicely. Overall great aesthetics, there is really nothing wrong with this game.

EDIT: I forgot to add in suggestions. It would be cool to be able to fight your game center friends. The only downside is that you both have to be on at the same time..

Also, I think you should be able to buy Cat Capsule tickets with Cat Food. You can buy Rare tickets but not regular tickets and that confuses me. However, it
doesn't take away from the game because you get them every day for free.

This is an amazing game and I had a few ideas for content

1. A sand box mode

The idea around this is that your base has infinite health and you have infant money as dose the enemy base making it an endless battle but you can select enemy types from the encyclopedia to send from the enemy base. And from this nothing is gained but I feel as if it should be unlocked after chapter 3 due to the fact that after that point you see many more enemies. It's main purpose is to try new strategies on enemies (because I don't want to spend 200 energy to "try" to kill a cyclone)

2. Multi player

I'm going to keep this short and sweet

Vs. Mode

You get 5 cats at level 5 that are chosen by the game and 5 that you choose at level 5

No cat cannon
No treasure
No cat food bonus

All passive abilities are level 10
Chapter 2 prices

Energy cost is 30

Co op

Co op cannot be played on main chapters

Both players have 5 cats chosen by them (level depends on player)

Co op events are unlocked after chapter 2 as well as co op challenge mode

This game is great! It has a lot of unique cats, levels, features, upgrades, and designs. Wonderful gameplay and is really simple for anyone to play. It has challenges for you to ay and see how far you can really get. It is a nice game for time killer and as well addicting for anyone to play, especially if you love cats. However, I do have this one little problem. Along the way, I reached to chapter 3 all the way up to the moon. Now, I've tried many and various ways how to defeat the boss in the moon. Now, it seems a litter noob part of me saying that I can't defeat the boss, but it is true! I've had all my upgrades for every single cat I have as well as the rest of the extra upgrades(base, cat cannon, money, etc.) and even the max treasures. No matter how much I try to surpass that level with the best techniques, I always lose. Now, that resulted into two conclusions. Either I have very bad luck, or the boss has way too much power and health and needs to be decreased. That is my only problem I have and wish that it was suggested a solution. Other then that, this is a wonderful game!

I just want to say this is a fantastic game! I play every day. But, I've been having issues with the cat stamps reward system actually giving me my rewards.

I wrote this following email to the given support email on the app support page. But it's invalid and the email cannot send for the app support... :

Hello. I've been having a problem with the daily cat stamps reward system. I get every daily cat stamp gifts such as bonus XP, but when I get a cat tickets such as 1x bonus ticket, or 5x, any amount. I never receive the bonus. Yesterday I received a 5x bonus silver cat ticket and pressed OK, then when the app loaded back to the battle option I had no extra tickets. This also happened about a week or so ago when I received a sliver cat ticket bonus I didn't receive it.
I don't know if this is a common problem, but it's frustrating because it's nice getting the daily silver ticket for logging in... But when I log in everyday and get excited to get multiple tickets and then don't get them, it's kind of irritating.

Help fix this bug please, and thank you.

As said in the game, the cats ultimate goal was to take over the world, and they have done just that. A few months ago my brother introduced this game to me. Immediately I fell in love, this game is the absolute best game I've ever had on my phone. I told all 4 of my friends about it and they began to battle their cats too, and soon they became addicted to this game also. When we hang out, 80% of our conversations are about battle cats, and battle our cat families together. With that being said, during our many conversations we have come up with the idea that Ponos, we need player vs player,1v1. Please make this happen. Possibly a customizable base, along with a display able player card of some sort (not displayed during the battle, or maybe so if it there's a place on the screen to fit it.) that shows the user rank, name, photo ID of their most used cat, etc. Some thing like this. This game has so much potential. I don't care how it's done because either way battle cats will still be battle cats. PLEASE MAKE PLAYER VS PLAYER A THING PONOS.

Hey PONOS, since there are true forms for valkyrie cat and bahamut cat, I know what you should do next. After you complete the chapters of into the future, the ending says that the battle cats are building a rocket. I know what you guys can do for that. You can add three new chapters where the battle cats invade the alien planet after taking back earth so the aliens never threaten earth ever again. In the first chapter, beating the last level grants a true form for Ururun wolf. The second chapter grants lil nyadam a true form (Sorry if I spelled his name wrong). And for the third chapter, beating the last level of that one grants a true form for the cat you unlock in stories of legend "Weak yet Bitter" (I don't know it's name yet because I haven't reached Weak yet Bitter yet). Thanks for letting us have the special limited time units for free just by logging in every day and I look forward to more limited time events that you guys can come up with, especially during the fall and winter holidays since they are only a few months away.

I can't put this game down, it's simple, but insanely fun and features silly looking cats! I died laughing when I saw Gross Cat for the first time. I can't wait to see the other cats I have yet to unlock.

There is a bit of grinding required, but the silliness has made it less tedious. I do wish we had more energy (buying it with XP still isn't enough when I want to play for more than 15 minutes or so) or it refilled a little faster (maybe we could buy slightly faster refills with XP?)

Main issue: It only saves within the app. Delete the app, and the game and your in app purchases are gone and can't be recovered. It should save in a place that can be recovered if the app ever gets deleted.

Other than that, I still love this game!

I don't understand why anyone could be offended by attacking countries, it's not targeting just a specific one or being rude about it. We don't even use guns or real people, just silly cats. People think a bit too much into things nowadays, it's just a game. :)

Wow. Been awhile since something as good as this came out. If you're going to play this game, don't mess with the time on your phone, or else you won't regenerate energy. This game is so wonderful of how it takes cats and makes them into these warriors. I love the event cats, and you will too, but there is one thing about them to hate. You either get really lucky with a rare ticket, or get guaranteed one after 11 pulls. But this costs cat food. 11 draws costs 1500 cat food. You may think "Oh, that's not so bad." But to put the problem into retrospect, if you pay $2.99 USD, you get... 90 cat food. A little over 1500 cat food is around 50 bucks. You may say "Just watch ads, right?" You can, yes. And you do get free cat food. How much? 1. You get 1 cat food for 30 seconds of advertisement. The only problem I have with this game is how expensive cat food is. Hopefully this will deflate over time.

This game the most fun anyone will have in a while! The graphics and the music fit the tone of the game and makes it pure awesome!The gameplay is so simple yet so addictive and creative! Now most people have a complaint that the game uses real-name countries.......... First of all, these are CATS we are talking about here not real people, guns, or explosives. Secondly, if you're mad that you're country is being attacked by cats..... That's sad. They attack almost every country including the U.S. so really it's not targeting any nationality. Anywho............ The only nitpick is the energy. I'm so high up in the game it lets me play one to three battles then I gotta quit........ BUUUUUTTTT it's fine because with no energy, I wouldn't have a life because I would play it all day everyday! Cheers to everybody who helped make the game and this game is pretty..........."CAT"tacular!!!!!

This game is by far one of the most addicting and weirdly entertaining App Store games I have ever played. You take over the world using off-shoot clones of the traditional Japanese cat meme. How fun is that? Well, it depends on how much you like the concept, and how much patience you have. Expect difficulty after a few levels, an upgradable energy system, and the constant temptation to use your precious Cat Food to push forward. Your army obtains nine different types of cats as you continue your conquest, but you can also use said Cat Food to purchase Rare Cats that add both variety and power to your legion. If you play once a day for 30 days, you get the Tricycle Cat, a powerful roadster that might just be one of the strongest cats in the game. If you're stuck and can't seem to get through no matter how much you've upgraded your other cats, go for Tricycle Cat!

There is nothing wrong with this game, that's why I gave it 5 stars. The only thing that makes me uneasy is that there is no way to connect with Facebook, Twitter, G-mail... Whatever. If something happens to my phone and or my game gets deleted somehow, I have no way to retrieve all of the data I have on this game. That's the only reason I don't spend money on this game. Also, I think it would be cool to have some kind of multi-player mode. Two people on two different phones could fight each other for bragging rights or maybe even some kind of Co-Op where two friends could defend one base against an insanely strong boss? It's just a thought. Like I said, main thing is I want a way to protect my save incase something happens. Other than that great game. I really love the randomness of the cats and it's style is just great. Definitely a great game.

First things first. I LOVE this game. It is honestly a really fun game, and all I am doing is looking to turn this great game into something better. There is already a lot of content in battle cats, but once you beat the game completely, (completed every chapter) there really is not a whole lot to do. So what I propose is the addition of multiplayer into Battle Cats. Have a multiplayer option and once tapped it then launches a random matchmaking system. You could also add a friend system on Battle cats so you could challenge friends easily. Along with the multiplayer there could be a ranking system, more challenges, more reason for people to get on and play. There could be a lot of potential in a multiplayer for this game, and I hope it gets added soon. Again I would like to state that this game was mad very well, and bravo to PONOS once again.

Hello, I think this is one of the best games I've ever played on a mobile device... But there are three things that I think would make the game a better experience. The first one, apparently a more pressing matter, fixing the crashes during startup, I've read multiple reviews complaining about startup crashes. And the 2nd one being making XP/cat food easier to acquire. Because it's pretty easy to get cat food and XP for a while but after too long it just becomes a matter of watching hundreds of videos just to get one rare cat capsule. And the last thing, I've been thinking maybe PONOS could add a stage in stage of legends called," BATTLE CAT GODS," which contain crazed macho legs, crazed bahamut, crazed Ururun wolf, and the CRAZED CAT GOD!!!

I LOVE playing this game. It's one of the BEST games I've ever played, and I have this app for 7 months now. I'm on Chapter 3 and I have the Catorpedo cat and Creepmallow cat and I have one Uber Super rare cat. I really enjoy playing this game. Now it's time to discuss about a problem about the update. I can't access the collaboration, special, and time-limited events in the "Stories of Legend" and I also can't access the cat capsule and rare cat capsule in the game. This is because there's a message ALWAYS telling me "Server communication has failed due to issues in the device time. Please ensure your device time and network communications are correct. (HGT00)" PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP. The update is for minor bug fixes, but now you need to fix something else quickly. Other than that, excellent game!

Cowabunga bro have a cat that has won challenges and bets for surfing has an area attack and strong agents red enemy's.

BUMBLE BEE

This bee got very mad when cats destroyed its home and now seeks revenge on all cats for this would appear in hard stages in all chapters and legendary mode.

I'd really like it if just one of these cats or enemy's would appear in your game and thank you for this game that I love so

Pros: very fun, comical, entertaining, doesn't seem repetitive, actually a lengthy game, like others, it's free to play with few adds (mostly on the home screen) and there is a currency called cat food that is available for purchase with real $, but this game allows you to "earn" it by watching videos from other similar developers and doing things like making a dentists appointment via 1-800 dentists... And one more pro; I find myself returning to the game daily because I enjoy it very much. Not too easy. Not too hard.

Cons: limited play-time called "cat energy"does leave me hungry for more, but it's probably a good thing that I am limited. The cat energy regenerates after about an hour. It lengthens the game a good bit because you cannot go through every stage in one day.

This game is super fun! I can't get enough. It's that good. What really ticks me off is the fact that people are complaining about moon chapter 3 WAY too often. Seriously. It's not that hard. I beat it on my second try without spending any cat food. What makes this worse is the fact that people then rant about how this game forces you to spend money, yet most of us here made it through without doing so. Also, I can't be the only one to actually notice that there are actually harder enemies the teacher bun bun? Take the boar for example: it one shots all my units, and it doesn't get pushed back at all. I would love to see the look on all these people who can't beat bun bun teachers faces when the black version comes out. But I digress. Solid game
