Trucker Logbook - KeepTruckin [iPad]

This app is fantastic! Saves time, is much easier to use than a paper logbook and informs when you are about to commit an HOS violation or form and manner errors, as KT calls them. Today an HOS violation notification appeared on my lock screen 1 hour before I was approaching 8 hours of on time without a 30 minute break. If you are as absent minded as I am about taking breaks or entering required data this app is for you.

KeepTruckin has made our logging operations smooth as silk. We used to get occasional "Form and Manner" violations during our inspections...WE DO NOT GET THEM NOW!! I got a roadside inspection in FL one day after switching to KeepTruckin. I was able to put it into inspection mode and simply handed my phone to the officer. He was able to email himself, and FMCSA, a copy of my previous 7 days logs. He loved it! He said that it made his job way easier. He also told me that he wished all trucking companies used KeepTruckin.

I have tried most of the log apps and electronic logs of the carriers. This is the one I have used for over 2 years. It retains your current days information, will alert you when you are running out of hours or need to take an 8 hour break, you can use your phones GPS for locations if you turn it on, you can enter remarks, easy to change duty status and correct error, and works on your phone, tablet, and computer. It can fax or email you logs to your company, takes pictures of documents you can email to your company, instead of finding a fax machine. I also have electronic records all the way back to the first day I used this.

I resisted for a long time to go to anything electronic for this type of service. Once done, I fell in love with what KeepTruckin offers. I was so used to loose leaf paper logs, and didn't want to jeopardize the option they allow. Well, KeepTruckin does everything a loose leaf paper log does and more. If things change, you forget to enter a duty status or pretty much anything else, you can modify your entry to represent the actual method and time of work. And, all of your recurring information stays the same from day to day. So, it's like having N endless supply of pre-printed loose leaf logs all the time.
