Lead I ECG on the go.

I've used AliveECG since inception. I've been very happy with the very specific function it offers. I use it only when hearing an irregularity in the heart rhythm during auscultation. Quite frequently it is not an Afib. I've diagnosed frequent PVCs and sinus arrhythmia on several occasions sparing the patient the anxiety and the need for a formal ECG that is not available at my office. It is really handy.
The app requires access to the microphone to decipher the audio signal generated by the alivecor lead that is needed to generate the ECG. the audio signal frequency is outside of the range for the human ear so it can't be heard.
The whole thing is truly quite fascinating
