I use the app for daily, fixed fee parking at my local commuter train station. It has been a huge improvement over the prior arrangement - a step into the modern era and the elimination of a near-daily source of aggravation.

Previously, it was necessary to pay the daily fee at a machine. While this option still exists, I avoid it like the plague. The machines have a years-long history of being temperamental:
Refusing to accept cash, rejecting perfectly good credit cards, crashing etc. This performance often had to be undertaken with a train pulling into the station and 3 other commuters in front of you in the line for the parking machine.

Now that this app has been introduced at this location, it's goodbye to all that! I just walk casually past the lines of frustrated parkers angrily jamming credit cards in and out of the old machine, paying for my own parking with a few taps on the way past.

On one occasion, I had to make a trip out of town on short notice during the workday, necessitating an overnight stay. Previously, there would have been no way to avoid a ticket for the following day's unpaid parking. However, I was able to pay for day 2 using the app in just a few taps from 300 miles away.

I have not used the app in an hourly parking situation so cannot comment directly on that here. However, I would note that the app keeps me very well updated on the expiration of my paid parking, through both emails and text messages.

It's been great.

Easiest thing in the world to set up and use. Enter the info the app needs (it guides you), save it and activate your parking session. BAM! You're good to go. When you leave, deactivate you parking session; the app sends you a receipt to your e-mail address.

I work in Midtown in Atlanta, GA. All parking is pay parking during the week. I park in a lot across from my building. Half the time the lot's card readers don't work & I don't carry cash. This app literally saves me 30 minutes trying to get the card readers to read my credit card mag strip (no other card readers have issues with it). This app is a time-, life-, and money-saver. Worth its weight in gold or anything else precious to you. Who cares about .35¢, especially if your expenses are reimbursed?

The people who provide bad reviews didn't read anything about the app after they installed it. It facilitates payment and charges a convenience fee for that. The app has nothing to do with the lot owners / management or the fact your car got booted. I put a small note on my dash to tell lot attendants I use the app so they know to check before they boot.

I'd make one suggestion: Instead of requiring people to remember to end their parking session, the app could use geofencing or location services to determine when to end a session. That would make it perfect.

I park in a town lot, often only a few minutes before my train. No need to wait in line or fight with a machine - just launch the app, enter the zone and space number, and I'm off.

I've also used it to park at meters; it's just as quick and convenient, especially since I rarely carry change.

The overall low rating seems to be driven by folks who have no problem with the app itself (which is simple and intuitive) but with the fact that they've gotten tickets despite having paid through ParkMobile. If you really have paid, you should have proof through the app, and should therefore be able to beat the ticket. I get that it's a hassle having to fight a ticket you shouldn't have received, but it sounds like that's something you need to take up with your town/city, not with ParkMobile.

Bottom line: this feels like how parking should be paid in the 21st century.

This app is unbelievably easy to use and creates a new level of convenience for those of us that encounter metered parking on a daily basis. It is the perfect app for someone such as myself where the only parking available on the same city block as my office building happens to be metered parking. Even though there is a processing charge added to each transaction, which adds a nominal amount to the total bill, I am happy to pay a little more through the app rather than having to dig up under my car seats for enough change to cover the meter while at the office. Also, it serves as an efficient and easy way to cover the expense of parking for my clients visit the downtown office. All in all the benefits far exceed the drawbacks and minimal expense associated with the apps use.

Used for first time today in Washington D.C and worked great. First, signed up for an account and provided a payment method (Visa for me). Just read the zone number on the meter at the parking space used; input it into the App and tell it how much time you want (2 hours for me). It calculated the total amount due + small fee (.45). I accepted it and the app began counting down time remaining. Also includes a GPS feature to remember where you parked to get you back. Included a 15 minute warning to get back before time expires. In D.C. the meters don't show time remaining using Parkmobile. Meter maids use a device which shows them license plate number and time remaining. For years I've been shoving $.25 buckets into meters. No Longer! I love it.

I've been using this app for about two years and have nothing but good things to say about it. As long as you know at least what your minimum parking duration will be, you should have no problems.
My primary locations are all lots that feed Denver International Airport. The app is a wonderful alternative to the always problematical payment kiosks, which are almost impossible to use without human instruction and intervention. Good luck if you are running late! The Extend Session saved me from some nasty overtime charges when I was stuck out of the country and returned two days late.
The app is easy to set up, secure, convenient and bulletproof. The transaction fee is only $0.35. I cannot recommend the app more highly.

I will go out of my way to find parking lots that use parkmobile. I have to find parking in the heart of downtown Atlanta everyday, and I will avoid lots that don't use this. I feel safer because I can pay for parking inside of my car before I get out. I know my card info won't get stolen in some sketchy machine. I know my payment will go through because I don't have to deal with an ancient card machine that only works a third of the time. I like having a timer, too, so I can get back to my car before the time expires. Please take over all the lots in Atlanta!! Love you guys. Great app!

ParkMobile is the alternative payment option for parking at Iowa State. The app is awesome. In a time where loose change is slowly becoming obsolete, this app is wonderful to have. I'm able to reserve my parking spot for the entire day, and receive a reminder before the time expires. I have not received any of tickets as a result from using the app. Iowa State specifically endorses it's use, so I expect any trouble to be easily resolved.

My only concern regarding the app is that it feels/looks outdated compared to the rest of the App Store. That has no effect on its function though.

This app, and the concept, have revolutionized the way we park. No more feeding quarters into a (often broken) parking meter. Click and go. I don't know why all the negative reviews, I got a ticket once because I transposed the meter #, my fault, and while I would have liked to see some relief from DC Gov because I did pay, I should know better than to expect someone good from DC Gvt (haha). Love the app, been a user for several years and use it about once a week.

This app has seriously improved our lives. Before parkmobile my husband either had to remember to move his car every two hours or was always scrounging for quarters, both of which led to many parking tickets. This app could not be simpler or more convenient! I only wish I had downloaded it sooner. This is my #1 favorite app. I recommend it to everyone in town, if you live in a town where the meters use parkmobile, get this app!!!!

Very simple. You park where it's LEGAL, find the number for your space, enter it, and away you go. Some of the reviews complain about things that the app doesn't do (or promise). It never says it will tell you how much it is to park somewhere. Nor does it say it will reflect on the meter that you've paid. Also, if you have a rental car, you enter in the license plate and away you go. It's very simple.

Everyone who ever pay to park needs this app! The most important feature is SAFETY! I recently had to park somewhere not too safe or familiar. I didn't have to get out of my car, walk to a machine, fumble with cash or credit card. From the safety of my own vehicle this app located my parking spot and processed my payment so I could enter to my destination quickly and with out worry!! Thank you!

Living in Florida, rain happens often and out of nowhere. There is not much worse out there than having to feed a meter standing in a storm. With this app, I can stay dry and happy when parking outside. Also, I love being able to extend my parking time from my phone. Allows me to spend more time with my friends and family instead of running out to feed the meter. Easy and convenient!

I have no complaints, this app has been a lifesaver!! My daughter plays in beach tourneys and we are there two hours before the meters start. All I have to do is start the app when the meters go and no worries and no walking all over to pay. Saved me many times from parking tickets and no longer have to worry about having change. Well worth the small service charge over a $35 ticket!

I am so happy I downloaded this app. I use it every time I go into the city. It is very convenient to not have to carry change or fuss with the meters. The new update allows you to customize when the alarm goes off to add funds again which will help me save quite a bit of money! Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to the new updates as they come.

This has been one of my favorite apps for parking in DC for several years now. Was holding on to the 4.1 version based on some recent reviews but this upgrade works and none of my vehicles are missing. I don’t know if anyone noticed but the screenshots look nothing like the app anymore. Fix it, guys - and add Apple Pay. Most of my other apps have it.

I never have change so this app is awesome cause I can pay on my debit card. You can even get a receipt to dispute a parking ticket if needed. It works and it's easy to park legally. You can even add time while you sit in the bar or whatever. It does not reflect on the meter but the meter maid use a device to check the plate to ascertain you paid.

I drove to Newport Beach, CA. I couldn't find free parking and I didn't have any change for the meter. I got the app and at first I was little nervous putting my card information into my phone but then I realized that I can sit in my car and do it. I just use the timer on my phone as backup to remind me. As a last resort I can't complain.

Why is everyone who don't understand something blame it's on the product, you here that 1 out of 5 happy, why is that, because the one person understands the importance of this program. And the other don't understand think it's Crape. If everyone understood it would mean the world and easy to use. Thank you for understanding. Allen

I really love this app. It's so easy to add time to your parking session and not get back 5 minutes late to find a ticket on your car...which happened to me all the time in New Haven. One tip: be sure to enter profiles for all your vehicles and to choose the right one when you park. Otherwise you cab get a ticket despite paying.
