The app has worked exactly as it should for me without and issues so far. I go buy groceries, scan the receipt, and a few days later, if any of my items qualify, I get money back. So far on the receipts I've submitted it's been anywhere from $.15 to $6.50 in money back. I've had a few not get me a cent back, but the items I purchased weren't advertised by a competitor for a cheaper price. I don't understand why some of these reviews are filled with complaints of not getting money back. It's not rocket science, folks. If it's not advertised by a local competitor for a cheaper price, you won't get ANYTHING back...simple as that. It's a chance at free money for taking 15 seconds to scan a receipt, folks. You're not going to get rich off of it. You're not gonna be able to quit your job and make a living grocery shopping from here out, for Pete's sake. And for those that think Wal-Mart is ripping you off, why would they even START this program if they're just going to "cheat you"? Why risk gettin caught and tarnishing their name? Use your heads, folks. Scan your receipts, save up what they give you back, and quit thinking everything you buy is gonna make you a millionaire... The app works. Get it. If you're worried about them "ripping you off", instead of taking 15 seconds to scan a receipt, spend hours clipping your own coupons and visiting 58 local competitors and save yourself $3.00.

Not long after seeing a commercial for Savings Catcher, I decided to research a bit and download the app. Downloading was simple because I already have Walmart's app. The reviews were honestly quite off putting but the idea of Walmart giving customers a savings app and my love of other savings apps such as Target's Cartwheel outweighed the negative reviews. During the month I've used Savings Catcher, I've accrued roughly $36 and there are two receipts currently pending. The app has worked flawlessly, scanning every receipt within seconds (except one that got soaked in a sudden parking lot downpour; entering the info by hand is just as simple as scanning though), and showing my savings within a few days. My mom was so impressed that she's now using the app and has both of my aunts hooked as well! We enjoy comparing our savings and seeing which items have the biggest returns.

This Is a No-Brainer

This is a no-brainer! The app is free, and I got earned $3.75 oh my very first receipt. I am not a coupon shopper, or even a comparison shopper really. In fact, I hate to shop. I will not take the time driving from store to store to look for lower prices. So this app is PERFECT for me. There is nothing extra to do, nothing to look up. You just shop as you normally would anyway and then scan your coupon with your phone afterward. The app does all the work for you. It checks competitor prices on the items you bought to see if there are cheaper prices and notifies you by email a few days later that you earned money back, which you can load onto an e-gift card.

Savings Catcher is so cool!

I have to laugh when I read some of the reviews on this. And I quote, "...it took 10 seconds to load how lame". Oh America with your impatient attitudes. How dare an app take 10 seconds to load when it saves you money. Seriously? Anyway, this app is great for the Savings Catcher feature. Scan in your receipt and if they find it priced lower somewhere else you get the difference on a gift card! That's amazing to me. Walmart certainly does not owe you that luxury. They are providing a service that they do not have to provide. If you chose to go to a restaurant to eat and you ordered a steak, would you call the manager over and say, "hey, this steak is cheaper at Restaurant Z, so pay me the difference?" Sounds ridiculous doesn't it? Yep, and so do most of you naysayers about this app.

I am not a regular Walmart shopper, i usually shop locally, however I tend to be a big online shopper for holidays and seasonal items. So far though, this app is wonderful. There a little quirks, however they are nothing huge that severely negates this app. Overall, I like this app more than I have ever liked Walmart. It's simple, easy, and it helps you with your shopping, coupons, and deals. I especially LOVE the receipt scanner!!! That was the main reason I got this app, however it has become aware to me that there is so much more! For all my shopping, non-local, I use my Walmart app over Ibotta, and several other deal finding/shopping apps.
