This app allows you to input a list of stocks and then examine each stock's price performance over chosen time periods ending at the current date, and it adds news pieces related to the stock that you can open if interested. Simple to use with clean, easily understood graphics, this is the best app for the purpose I have found.

Yahoo Finance is a one stop website for financials & market update! Yahoo finance was and is my market tech site, a teacher when I had no one to show me or tell me about the market!

In my book they are #1 and the main web site I refer new beginners in the stock market and self-directed investors like my self!

The new header is beautiful! I really like it. I'm going to miss the old ticker update symbol, though. It was kindof dorky, but I liked it for some reason.

Sometimes I accidentally tap on the graph and get the exploded view when I just want to change the time scale—that's still my biggest problem with it.

For he's seeing how my stocks are doing this is the fastest and most convenient ways to view the market and the stocks are you own or want to consider buying. It gives me graphs and charts and two news on the stocks I want to study more closely. The news end of the details are also easy to access. I like it.

Superb App. Easy to use, intuitive and ridiculously fast. Nice minimalist design with only the info you want. Information also seems to make it to this app much more quickly than it does to others.

This is the only App you need to stay tuned to the market.

Good job Yahoo. There may be hope for you yet :).

This App does everything that I need. Has live quotes and market updates. Also has good articles about what stock you are following. My favorite features is favorite stocks. Right when I open up my app I can see my favorite stocks right there and see how much they have gone up or down.
Great overall app.

I really like this App. I use the Yahoo Finance website page on my PC multiple times a day. The news clips are current and mostly informative on trends. The App is essentially a portal to the website so I can view it anywhere. Not perfect, but what is? Despite minor limitations, I'd still recommend it.

I like this app because it delivers what I want. The stocks that I follow appear to my right. They were easy to find and set up like that. Articles from current publications are to my left and easy to scroll through. Though I have not explored the app fully I am satisfied with what I have.

So far no problems at all like others have noted... I programmed in my settings to refresh often so I'm always current in the stock numbers. Would recommend if you want a simple way to track the stock numbers and news articles. Only request is I wish I could get my cost basis for stocks owned.

Still there is near competition to Yahoo finance. Best app even compared to paid ones. I wish they could maintain same quality of data as they used in 90s and early 00s . Love the way they show portfolio intra day changes .

One suggestion : they should add screener and save the result set .

The old update deleted all stocks I was following. The newest update restored all my original data and stocks.

Way to go Yahoo! Next time please test your updates or you're do for a mass exodus of users. One upset user is one too many. But thanks for responding so quickly to our complaints.

Great app. Simply fantastic!!!
Although more stock news ought to be added, because other stock apps have a lot more (in all honesty).
But i love the functionality. Like no other app.
Because of this app i only keep this one and another one now (for the extra news). Erased all others.

I like the new interface because it allows me to see more information at a glance. VS. having to select a individual stock.

Being able to add and remove columns without creating an account would make it perfect.

The stock positions I hold are between me and my 401k financial firm.

Excellent app. Best I've found for tablet or LT.
I do lose balance on 7 digit portfolio after a few seconds, but not a big problem.
It would be nice to do comparison charts for time periods/dates you provide and for more than 3 equities, but what is provided is good and easy to use.

Visa ( v) not available in yhoo in order to review as well as volaksvaygn ( VLKAY ) also WHR .

In other hand you should allow any profile list starts from the top to the bottom for example apple then google so google should be in bottom after apple , other wise every thing is great.

I like this app because it is simple and intuitive. I especially like that it gives both a stock's dividend and what percentage that dividend is to the stock price. I also like that it gives the user all the recent recent news it gives on the stocks user is following.

Yahoo Finance was a game changer app for ease of use, interface design and portfolio tracking. However, prior to the current release there were a number of bugs that led to frustrations obtaining real time data.

I am glad to say, the real time update bugs are gone!

I use Yahoo Finance the way I use the default Stocks app on the iPhone: to get a quick take on my watch list. On volitile days sometimes I'll keep it running next to my computer at work. The "news" section doesn't go too deep. But for what it does, it does very well.

I use this app all the time to keep on top of my investments. The portfolio tracker is great. I would feel lost without it. Straightforward, simple, and easy to use. Lots of news articles and updates to keep me in touch with the market. I highly recommend it.

I kept my stock lists in yahoo finance portfolios so deleted watchlists didn't affect me. The update provides a ton of additional information for each stock similar to the desktop website. Great work, Yahoo! Sorry to the folks who lost their watchlists.
