Great way to get News with less of the bias of the

ABC app is my primary news source - it's where I hear about almost every breaking story first. And it's free and ad free. So for that - 5 stars!
Having said that, the actual quality of the writing is no better than the others - in other words it reads like it was written by a work-experience kid who has no clue about anything and then reviewed by someone who doesn't really have time to review items before they go out. But that doesn't diminish the 5 stars because sadly that's just the cheap world we live in now and even the most prestigious mastheads are just as incompetent. Meh.
One thing that almost did take away the 5th star though is how Americanised it is. This is Australia's ABC - why it uses US idioms, spellings, and grammar is a mystery to me. Weirdly the ABC is actually consistently worse than the other outlets in this respect. Some dark agenda to Americanise us by our own government. Very strange. Maybe the cool leftie kids from inner Sydney who get jobs at the ABC are just so Americanised they don't even know they're doing it. The rest of us notice though, we see what you're doing and we don't like it. :-)
