Have been using it for a while (2 years)and it has a lot of benefits like the text you can paste and have a vocabulary list.
I would pay for the memorizing cards to be improved and the paste text to be more automated to create a list.

At the previous version, the detection for handwritten kanjis was not really good. But now that the app recognizes it no matter the stroke order, it’s much more practical. There is nothing I would change in this app, it’s really perfect.

I was surprised with every function; I have checked many apps but this one makes me really want to study.
I saw some comments about bad functionality of the app, but it seems to me that they fixed those problems.
Thanks for a great app.

I really love this app! I always recommend it to everyone who’s learning Japanese.Today though, I found a bug. Every word related to 叱る when tapped to open closes the app.
I hope you guys can fix it. Thank you for the great app!

I’ve used this app in its many iterations for years. It has always been my go to app for Japanese. The search function is easy to use and fast, and things are grouped intuitive. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.

Excellent. Much better than imiwa and worth the money. I especially like the full size screen for drawing kanji.

Update: another great update. Much better kanji recognition and handwriting input with multiple entry possible.

I've found this to be an indispensable tool for my Japanese studies. I am currently in the intermediate-upper intermediate range in my studies and this dictionary with its versatility has been a tremendous asset.

So far I see. This is one of the best app to find Japanese word meanings. Also have kanji and other Japanese study; like show kanji strokes, lots of example sentences. Thanks again to the app developers. :)

This app has an awesome study interface and great commonly-used combinations and example sentences.
The label/list capability is also very useful.
Finally the JLPT levels are built in for study!

I really like this app alot!! I would like to make a suggestion: can you guys make the same type of app but in Korean, Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese? That would be REALLY cool and awesome!!!!

I like the Kanji drawing function the best even though sometime the result is not efficiently enough, it still far better than any other dictionary. The word cutting in sentence search is also the best.

In the 1980s we carried a multitude of paper dictionaries. In the 1990s we carried our dedicated Wordtanks and Sony electronic dictionaries. Now we only need to carry one thing; the Japanese iOS app.

This is the single Japanese app I use on my phone. It has everything you could possibly need and it is made so well. I passed N4 this year and "Japanese " helped me a lot in doing that.

I couldn't believe such a smart dictionary existed! The intro interface is intriguing and cool! It is amazingly useful, practical and super fast. I highly recommend it.

Updated review: the crash was fixed, and this is now back to being the best dictionary for studying out there. Absolute must have for anyone studying the language
