I couldn't understand the sudoku craze, but read the reviews and decided to try this App.

This App has an extensive interactive library of tips and techniques. I learned how to play and became addicted. Over the years I've purchased dozens of sudoku Apps but this is the only one I play day after day.

What makes this App different?
1- I can play WITHOUT internet connection.
2- huge library to learn advanced techniques and play practice games.
3- various game options covering how the game is displayed, scoring and tips.
4- about a dozen levels of difficulty.

I've played sudoku online for years, and Enjoy Sudoku is not only fun but helps you learn to be a better player! Frequent updates and improvements makes my purchase worth every penny.

Update Feb 20, 2011: :) Sudoku is still my favorite sudoku app on both my iPhone AND my iPad. Great options, customizable interface, well thought out UI. I've tried others but none have ousted :) + Sudoku as my top sudoku app! 5 Stars. Still on April 20, 2011 too. And still on September 20, 2011 too. And still on September 25, 2012 too.
And still on March 17, 2013 too.

This app has every way that you might want to play Sudoku. Don't want to have to put in all the pencil marks? It can do that for you. Only want to solve the difficult moves? It has an option to automatically fill in the "singles." Want to solve with no help? It has a "newspaper" option. Want to try really difficult puzzles? They are in this app, as are lessons to learn new ways to get the next answer so you can, over time, become better and better at those difficult challenges. There is no better Sudoku app out there. I've tried most of them myself.

While the many clever solving methods are impressive, I enjoy my simple minded self-taught methods. App works just great whatever way you want to go. My solving time is not very fast, I rarely use hints, and usually fall below 50% of others. But the one hint that I love is the undo until solvable hint. That way when
I make a goof and see I'm off track needing to put a number where it cannot go, it is great to just use the hint to go back to where things are ok. No more old-fashioned hours of tedious erasing or messy over-writing with a ball point.

So far out of the park, this Sudoku takes you to new level after level after level. If learning is what you love, do not look further. This is your game. If you just want to pass the time, this will give you game after game at exactly your level. But for those who live to learn, this is an extravaganza of Sudoku techniques and easy tips, graded by difficulty and techniques. A rich harvest. Can't imagine the person that created this. So smart, so giving. I would guess that you'll never find the like of this in any other field, it's that good.

It just works. Does everything you wish for, and then some! No issues, an amazing level of difficulties, tutorials up to the highest levels of difficulty, highly configurable...
There is no need to look for another Sudoku app! Unless you're bothered by the very pragmatic look of the app. This one is about functionality, of which it has everything.
I love the ability to scan a Sudoku from a paper and still get all the help features!

Clean, simple interface. Plenty of gameplay options, with no gimmicks. If you enjoy Sudoku, or if you're just starting and want to learn, I recommend this one. Extremely battery friendly and hardly uses any data.

The one time I contacted support (to point out a minor error in the statistics and suggest some enhancements), their response was very quick, and it turns out they had already fixed the bug in a newer version and had already added enhancements similar to what I proposed.

This app is extremely well done, easy to use, and great fun. Puzzles are rated by complexity of the patterns needed to solve them. There is a comprehensive tutorial showing each pattern and how to apply it. Any time you need help, the hint system is available to give either a subtle hint or upgrade the hint to a full description of what you are missing. Also, there are many styles of play available from no help to solving everything automatically but the challenges.

This Sudoku app is the best. These puzzles challenge you without frustrating you. And this app takes out the busy work so it is addictingly fun. And you can learn to solve more difficult puzzles from the hints. I have gone up two levels since I started using Enjoy Sudoku. Plus the customer service actually promptly emailed me with answers to my questions when I first tried to use it. I've used other Sudoku apps but this one U.S. By far the best!!

An excellent sudoku game. Good playability, solid features, including automarks, context highlighting, clear UI for pencil marks vs solution marks, hints, etcetera.

Even with high praise for game and playability, the best feature is the tutorial/learn mode and learn integration with hints. Very clear explanations and application of concepts so you can improve your sudoku skills.

Whether you are playing to have fun or get better, this is a gem of a sudoku game.

Fast, simple, flexible interface, huge number of options, good game stats. It lets me play the way I want to play.

Update - bought the paid version, and it's worth every penny. After playing this one, I find all other sudoku apps to be frustrating. The user interface is very well thought out.

I recently got interested in Kenken puzzles. Oh how I wish this developer would write a Kenken app! The others out there have horrid UIs that hinder as much as they help.

I'm still learning, still getting better, and still enjoying using this great app. Sudoku is particularly addictive when you get to the point where you understand more of the strategies for solving dilemmas. This app takes you where you are, rank beginner or seasoned expert, and challenges you to improve while making hints and instruction readily available. Buy the full program when you get tired of having to wait another day to continue. It's worth it.

Clean, clear font, easy, straight forward penciling system (Why can't all sudoku game builders figure this out?); terrific hint module and great teaching material. My favorite of all the Sudoku's out there. Five stars.

Third review, still the best--incomparable teaching module, the hints help you along, making you think a little rather than just stating a number. Worth every penny.

I've been playing sudoku with this app for about three years now and it's always been great. No updates that cause problems or take away from the game experience. I tried several apps back at the beginning and this one was exponentially better than the rest. I haven't looked lately because this app hasn't given me even one reason to look for something better. Try the free version then buy this to support this developer. He deserves it.

This is the best online Sudoku game I've found, and I've tried a lot of them. I especially like the separate keypads for entries and notes, the way that the selected number lights up all over the puzzle, and the subtle but effective hint function. It's humbling to see how I rank against other solvers when I finish the puzzle, since I thought I was above average, but I don't often score above the 50th percentile. Highly recommended.

Five stars because it's not only the best Sudoku app available but it also has the most helpful teaching explanations. Just those explanations is worth the price. What could make this better? Several things. For example, one button to highlight all doubles on the board. Makes hunting XY, W, and WXY wings simpler. Color highlighting of squares would also be good for logic chains. But in any case this app is highly recommended.

Excellent app! The only issue I have is for newcomers that want to fill in the possibilities as a learning tool or to save time the program doesn't correctly handle locked rows, blocks or columns and puts those numbers where they should be excluded. I love the ability to upload a picture of a puzzle into the game. I also love the advanced tutoring on x wings or fish that is available.

I've tried a lot of the free Sudoku apps, and this quickly became the only one I kept playing. I bought the full version and am very happy I did. Unlimited great puzzles, the ability to scan in those from other places, the statistics, and the training piece are all far and away the best I've found. Highly recommended. (This is only the second app I've liked enough to review!)

If you have any interest in sudoku or quick puzzle games, give this a shot. I bought it on my droid phone, switched to iphone and it was the first app i bought on iphone. Well designed with tons of features, different game modes and endless puzzles. Also has tutorials and explanations that will up your game. Wish all apps were this well designed!

I cannot imagine going back to pencil & paper. This app (purchased) gives me all the variety I want, challenges me, & hones my skills. The hints & tutorials help me understand the game better [with one exception--the "W-Wing," which makes NO SENSE to me whatsoever]. You're looking for a Sudoku app? Stop looking--you just found the very best.
