I really enjoy using this app, and thank you for your hard work for making this app. I do have this bug that I always get 3 reviews. I get 久 ,久しぶり , and 久しい. No matter what, these 3 always pop up for review even right after I do them, and this only happens on this app, not on the official wanikani site. I’d be more than willing to work with you guys to help solve this problem . That’s the only glaring problem I currently have with the app.

Note to the developer: It looks like the recent iOS update made the interface bounds get compressed vertically a bit but only when the OS UI scale is in large mode. the app is still useable though.

I am so grateful for this app!
The interface now switches to swipe typing automatically for Japanese input if you want once you set it to that keyboard the first time. It might also be nice to have the UI text localized to the OS language.

I am extremely happy about this free app. I use it on a daily basis and it helps me a lot.

Just two remarks: the levels on the show-remaining-view seem to be a bit messed up. The show-all seems to be fine.
And I would like to see an overview with the number of items in the exact levels (apprentice I, II, ...) because I based on this I decide if I should wait with new lessons (100 items on apprentice IV is okay, 100 on apprentice I, II is not).

This app has made my WaniKani subscription completely worth it. I use this on my iPad with a keyboard and in the previous version, could advance to the next review quickly just by pressing enter instead of having to tap the advance arrow. Can this be brought back? Also, it seems to be crashing everytime I click ‘end review session’ but not sure if my progress is updated.

I just wanted to thank you for making this app. It is by far the best app for WaniKani. I find it easier and faster to do my reviews on Tsurukame then on the wanikani site (without use of scripts). I also i love the force feedback on correct reviews, it makes it rewarding when you get clear your review items. Great work!

This is the app that’s finally let me do reviews on my commute - great work.

I like the font randomisation, but it would be cool if there was a way of revealing the standard font before answering. Some (especially Armed Banana) can have really hard to read glyphs, and it would be nice to have the option to avoid them.

It would be great if the default font was included in the random font picker when additional handwritten fonts are downloaded. The option to use custom fonts or have more included options (different non-handwritten fonts, for example) would be nice too.

The level progress circle graphs are also difficult to decipher.

Thank you for making this tool and helping us using native environment for WaniKani. It is perfect, and especially the review options.

One request: please enable the fonts to resize (I refer the the fonts other than the characters, eg the explanations, example phrases, etc).

I've been using WAniki for the last 12 months thinking it was as good as it gets for learning Wanikani on my phone. I've just come across Tsurukame and it is such a step up! The app is nicely designed, very user friendly and full of useful features. Can't be happier.

this is the greatest way to learn kanji that nothing else can make easy. just had a recent problem with the app where when reviews are completed, the app has trouble updating so have to constantly refresh and exit hoping it'll update correctly to new things

I would give 5-stars if there were a function to add notes. Sometimes, I make my own mnemonic instead of the ones by Wanikani. The web version of Wanikani has this function, so I think it wouldn't be that difficult to add it to this app.

Out of the other WaniKani apps this one is my favorite. The only complaint I have is that the example sentences are not available, which I think is important. No pronunciation available as well.

David - thanks for creating a great app to use with Wani Kani. Was wondering if it was possible to save the half/incompleted reviews, instead of them being discarded?

Finally, an app that does just what the average WK user needs when doin reviews on the phone: speed, simplicity and the possibility to do reviews offline. Thank you!

Would really like to be able to select the example sentence so that I can have my phone speak it out loud. Other than that this is a good app! ^ - ^

WK’s own interface leaves quite a bit to be desired, but Tsurukame makes the system usable. You should be getting paid for this.
