KStars is free, open source, cross-platform astronomy software. It provides an accurate graphical simulation of the night sky, from any location on Earth, at any date and time.

Features:
+ The display includes up to 100 million stars with addon catalogs.
+ 13,000 deep-sky objects,all 8 planets, the Sun and Moon.
+ Thousands of comets, asteroids, supernovae, and satellites.
+ Adjustable simulation speeds in order to view phenomena that happen over long timescales.
+ Select from different projection systems and color schemes.
+ Several Field-Of-View (FOV) indicators from Telrad to Hubble Space Telescope!
+ Search for any object in existing catalog, and if not found KStars search for it online.
+ INDI Support: Complete INDI support! KStars Lite can connect to your astronomical equipment and can control telescopes, CCDs, DSLRs, focusers, filter wheels, domes, and your whole observatory!
