NPTE Flashcards are used by PT students preparing for the National Physical Therapy Exam.

Passing the national physical therapy exam (NPTE) is an important step in your career. It demonstrates that you are competent to perform physical therapy as an entry-level practitioner.

To improve your chances of success, we encourage you to review the relevant NPTE content outlines below:

The NPTE was developed to measure knowledge and abilities required of entry-level physical therapists (PTs) and physical therapist assistants (PTAs).

The exam consists of objective, multiple-choice questions covering the major areas of physical therapy. The PT exam includes 250 items and the PTA exam includes 200 items.

Committees comprised of PTs and PTAs develops them based on national analyses of the tasks that physical therapists and physical therapist assistants perform.
