Welcome to the Fresh Expressions App!

Fresh Expressions was created to be a form of church for our changing culture, established primarily for the benefit of people who are not yet members of any church. It will come into being through principles of listening, service, contextual mission and making disciples. It will have the potential to become a mature expression of church shaped by the Gospel.

In April 2014, conversations of Fresh Expressions took root in the Florida United Methodist Conference. Over the last two years, Fresh Expressions has taken off across the conference. There are currently around 60 Fresh Expressions of church that vary from gatherings around a community garden to a group that meets in a pub each week. These expressions of church look very different in gathering place, but the heart of each group is to reach new people, in new ways and in new places.

As we look into the future of what church looks like, we believe that it will be a mixed economy of both traditional churches and fresh expressions. These two forms of church must exist together as we seek to reach people with the Gospel.
