No More Damini [Android]

“No More Damini” aims to fight a rise in purse snatching including sexual assault and various other cases( “SHOCK SENSOR” feature) by enabling women to immediately alert friends or family, if they feel at risk. The application at the press of a single key “HELP” — sends immediate intimation via call/message including a post on Facebook. Once the “HELP” is activated, recipients will be able to track the sender’s location via GPS and come to her aid. While users can choose to include a number for the police in their SOS database, the main focus of the app is to alert friends and family.

“Indians depend far more on their near and dear ones because we don’t trust the system to help us,” Once you press the “HELP” on screen , your friends and family will take it up with the police and pressure them into doing something.” It is pertinent to mention that the success of “NO MORE DAMINI” would hinge on the police’s efficiency and willingness to take up reported cases. Presently the application is only and only available in English & Android Version mobile phones, the project is in pipeline to offer it in Indian languages & more often with other versions of mobile phones to ensure its reach each and every women/needy of our country.

Now, the moment has come to reveal our protest and to ensure the “FEARLESS” lives of our beloved near and dear ones. We must now come under the banner of “NO MORE DAMINI“ to make a culture in which Women are no more routinely devalued but should be promised and ensured a “FEARLESS and FLAWLESS” country to breath.
