Taco Bell [iPhone]

The interface of this app is simply beautiful. I'll admit, I had very low expectations of an app coming from Taco Bell. No offense, Tbell, but I don't associate your establishment with cutting edge technology. Until now. You are not only at the forefront of delicious and affordable Mexican entrees, you are also now pioneering the experience of in app purchasing and digital convenience for fast food.

The UI is very nice, and it accomplishes it's task nicely. I LOVE the customization options, and have started eat a lot more Taco Bell since I downloaded this app because of them.

It's nice to be able to see each individual ingredient for every menu item. I often would like to customize my order a bit but it seems like too much of a hassle for fast food and I wasn't really sure

I admit it- I'm a taco-holic. I probably eat at Taco Bell at least once a week. I even own a little stock in Yum Foods (the company that owns Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC) When the app first came out, I started using it regularly because of the free taco offer. What I found is that many employees don't understand how mobile orders are processed and often "freak out" trying to find the order on their monitor. I expect that this will change over time.

When it comes to ordering sometimes I'd like to edit my order I like to get creative, to add things get extra this, not that, etc. It allows you to do that and I don't have to talk to a person to do it (which proves to be more difficult than simply sending the exact order directly though the app).

One day. I was perusing the App Store and to my delight found there was a Taco Bell app. How could this get better I proclaimed to myself.

I have used this app several times already and really love it! No they don't make the food till you get there, because then it would be cold. But hey, it's fast food, it'll be ready just as fast as if you ordered at the speaker. The benefit, is that I can take my time and really decide what I want. Do I wanna try the caramel apple empanada? Or do I wanna skip it this time? Hmm, how much is my total with it? How much without? It gives me the comfort of ordering in my time frame, paying for it, and if I want my food done a little sooner, guess what, all I have to do is hit the button that I'm there, when I'm pretty close.

So when I saw this app I was like "omg". I have had it for a while but haven't used it. Really appreciated all the customization options that I usually don't think about when I order in store. Anyway, I just used it today and got a free Doritos locos taco with my order. Entered my card info on my phone. Submitted my order. App use is quick, easy, and simple. Honestly, been using this app for a few weeks now with no problems at my local Taco Bell. Ventured into the city one night to visit a friend and used my app for the first time at a different location.

This solves the problem that has plagued drive throughs since drive throughs began. You can clearly order what you want and know that the cooks will see what you ordered. No more back-and-forth with a static ridden and muffled speaker box or repeating over and over and over because the order taker is also busy making change and filling drinks while taking your order.
